Donal woodward, DDS

Donal Woodward is a native Oklahoman and was raised in Sand Springs. He attended the University of Oklahoma for his undergraduate education and was then accepted to the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Dr. Woodward graduated dental school at the top of his class and was accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program at OU Health Sciences Center. Upon completion of his four year residency program in 1989, Dr. Woodward returned to Tulsa to begin his private practice. Dr. Woodward uses his skills in the management of wisdom teeth, multiple extractions, IV anesthesia, implants, orthodontic exposures, and oral pathology.

Dr. Woodward is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, a past president of the Oklahoma Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) for over 25 years, and a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.

Dr. Woodward has been married to his wife Laura for over 35 years, and they have four children and three grandchildren. He loves family time, working in his yard, coaching sports, long walks with his wife, and volunteering at his church nursery. He cares for his patients like his family and looks forward to helping each patient feel comfortable and informed.

joshua Woodward, DDS

Joshua Woodward was born and raised in Tulsa. He completed his undergraduate education at Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Biochemistry. During college, he worked at his father’s office and developed an interest in oral surgery as a career. He was then accepted to the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and graduated in 2016.

Dr. Woodward completed his four year residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, the only level one trauma center in Oklahoma. He served as Chief Resident in 2019-2020. During his time at OUHSC, he was trained in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with an emphasis on extractions, dental implants, outpatient anesthesia, facial trauma & reconstruction, orthognathic surgery and oral pathology. He currently has an active role in taking oral surgery and facial trauma call at both Saint Francis and Ascension St. John, as well as volunteering at Catholic Charities free extraction clinic.

Much like his father, Dr. Woodward’s main focus is making his patients feel comfortable and ensuring that they have a good experience. He believes in listening to his patients and helping them make well-informed decisions about their care. During his free time, Dr. Woodward enjoys spending time with his wife and high school sweetheart, Melissa; sons, Caleb and Luke; and their dog, Chloe. He volunteers on the worship team at church and plays acoustic and bass guitar.
